STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific hits the road for its first game of the 2025 calendar year when it faces San Diego on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
The Tigers (5-9, 1-3 WCC) completed a three-game series sweep of the Toreros (4-9, 0-4 WCC) last season including a six-point win at the West Coast Conference Tournament win in March. Five Tigers averaged double figure scoring a season ago against San Diego, including the returning trio of seniors
Anaya James,
Elizabeth Elliott and graduate
Liz Smith.
The trio are once again at the forefront of Pacific's offense, accounting for 61.9% of team scoring. Smith averages 14.6 points per game after this past weekend scoring 30 against Saint Mary's and 17 versus Washington State.
Meanwhile, Elliott has been efficient with her scoring looks this season, converting a conference best 57.1% of her attempts, which is 32nd best in nation, alongside ranking in the top-75 in both free throw attempts and makes.
In head coach
Bradley Davis' tenure, the Tigers are 5-2 when starting the new year off against unranked competition and 1-0 in such games against San Diego.
Tip off from the Jenny Craig Pavilion is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
