STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis team continues its exceptional season, moving to eleven straight match victories after downing LMU 4-2 at home. The Tigers open conference play 2-0, while remaining undefeated at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
LMU clinched the doubles point after 6-4 wins on courts three and two. The Tigers locked in for the comeback after sophomore
Tiago Silva got Pacific on the board, downing Ranaivo 6-2, 6-2 from court four.
Senior
Andre Rodeia gave Pacific its first lead behind a 6-4, 6-0 win on court six over Diaz. Fellow senior
Peter Alam got the Tigers within striking distance of victory, downing Smiej 6-3, 6-3 from court two. Alam remains unbeaten in singles, moving to 8-0 on the season.
The Lions got one back after a win on court one in three sets to make it 3-2. Senior
Ran Amar locked up another match for the Tigers, bouncing back after a second set loss to claim his match 6-1, 4-6, 6-1. He moves to 10-1 on the season, having won his last nine straight singles matches.
The Tigers hold two more matches at home this week, hosting Portland and San Diego on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 respectively.
