Game Recap: Women's Water Polo |

Dulic Grabs 14 Saves in Loss at No. 9 Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. – Freshman Maja Lizy Dulic had a huge presence in net for No. 20 Pacific women's water polo with 14 saves during the 10-5 loss to No. 9 Fresno State on Friday at Fresno State Aquatics Center.

With her stat line, Dulic now has seven double figure saves performances on the season. The Kecskemet, Hungary native made eight stops during the first half.

It was a low scoring game during the first half. Pacific (14-9, 3-3 GCC) was down 2-1 in the first period. Sophomore Dora Alaksza and junior Hila Futorian combined for back to back goals to tie the game at three-all at the 2:06 mark in the second. But that was as close as Pacific would get in the contest.

Fresno State (17-7, 5-1 GCC) ended the first half with two goals for a 5-3 lead. The Bulldogs tallied five more in the second while holding the Tigers to just two, bringing the game to its final score.

Alaksza and Futorian led Pacific with two goals each while freshman Ella Cowan contributed one.

Up next, the Tigers wrap up the regular season at Concordia Irvine at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
