BERKELEY, Calif. – Pacific women's water polo came up short in its second meeting with No. 4 California 19-4 on Friday at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
Sophomore
Dora Alaksza continued her scoring streak with a team-leading three goals. Junior
Hila Futorian notched one in the fourth quarter. Freshman goalkeeper
Maja Lizy Dulic had 13 saves in net.
Pacific (10-7, 0-1 GCC) was held to two goals or less throughout each of the four periods. The Tigers had eight steals with senior
June Akpata getting two of them.
California (9-3, 0-0 MPSF) outshot Pacific 36-26.
Up next, the Tigers host their home opener against No. 12 LMU for Family/Youth Day at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
