STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis team improves to 7-1 on the season after a 6-1 singles sweep victory over Weber State at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
After the Wildcats secured the doubles point on court three, the Tigers came back to win the match by securing wins on all six singles courts. Junior
Justas Trainauskas and senior
Peter Alam were the lone Tigers doubles team to capture a win, defeating Weber State 7-5 on court one. The pair improved to 6-1 on the season.
Freshman
Tommy Czaplinski tied the match 1-1 after defeating Weber State's Tuan Minh 6-2, 6-4, while sophomore
Terence Das gave Pacific its first lead after downing Connor Kruger 6-4, 6-2 on court three.
Senior
Ran Amar battled Jordan Coutinho from court four, securing another point for the Tigers after a 7-5, 6-1 decision. Now leading 3-1 with a perfect home record on the line, senior
Andre Rodeia answered the call, clinching the match 6-0, 7-5 on court five.
The Tigers played through all matches on Wednesday afternoon with courts one and two going to three sets. Both junior

Peter Alam fell in their first sets but rallied back to secure the 6-1 win for Pacific. Alam got the Tigers up 5-1 after a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over Elyes Marouani on court two, while Trainauskas sealed Weber State's fate with a 7-6 (2), 7-5, 10-5 win on court one.
Das, Amar and Alam are all on a four or better singles match winning streak. Das collected his seventh singles win, while Alam moved to 5-0 on the year. Amar has gone 4-0 from court four with a 5-1 record on the season.
Pacific has a week off before traveling to San Antonio, Texas for three matches. The Tigers take on Prairie View first on Wednesday, March 13 at 9 a.m. PT.
