STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific volleyball program will honor seven seniors and graduates for their contributions to the program on Senior Day when when the Tigers host the Portland Pilots at the Alex G. Spanos Center at noon.
Graduates
Darina Kumanova and Margarita Giani joined the Tigers program after transferring from UMBC and UTRGV respectively. Graduate
Alexa Edwards has been a part of the program for all five of her seasons. The trio will be honored alongside seniors
Jenna Heller,
Megan Nishimura,
Sam Sublett and
Abby Miller.
Edwards had a huge game the last time Pacific (17-12, 7-10 WCC) saw Portland (12-15, 5-12 WCC) racking up a career high 28 kills, a match high four aces, and match high 19 digs. Heller led all players with 48 assists.
Freshman
Zoe John played a big role complimentary to Edwards, swinging for her own career high 14 kills. Junior
Emily Van Groningen was a big piece patrolling the middle for the Tigers, recording four blocks and seven kills.
First Ball is set for 12 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
