STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific women's basketball plays host to Long Beach State on Friday at 6 p.m. and Northern Arizona on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Both matches are return trips from road games played a season ago, with Pacific (1-1) emerging victorious against Long Beach State (1-0) on the Beach's home court in 2023. Senior
Elizabeth Elliott went for 25 points and 6 rebounds last time on Long Beach and graduate
Liz Smith contributed 16 points, including seven from the free throw line.
The recent series has produced close contests, with the past three contests being decided by fewer than ten points. Pacific has had an edge in recent match ups, winning nine of the last fifteen.
Northern Arizona's (2-1) trip to Stockton is the Lumberjacks' first since 2006 and Pacific's most recent series triumph. Last season's match up saw the Tigers suffer a setback despite solid showings from Smith, Elliott, and senior
Anaya James.
James flirted with what would have been her third career triple-double, posting 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Elliott finished with an efficient 14 points on 7-for-13 shooting in just 17 minutes of action. Smith added 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists to Pacific's final ledger.
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
