STOCKTON, Calif. – Coming off a victory in its home opener, the Pacific volleyball program will look to carry momentum into two more home matches as it hosts Washington State at 6 p.m. Thursday and Gonzaga at noon Saturday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

The Tigers (11-5, 1-3 WCC) pulled out a 3-2 victory over Santa Clara last weekend. It came after they hit for a .421 mark in the fifth set with nine kills and just one error.

It was the home opener for Pacific after playing the first 15 matches on the road. The Tigers are 11-2 at home over the last two seasons.

With 1,651 career kills, senior
Alexa Edwards ranks third all-time in school history. She's chasing Jennifer Joines who tallied 2,225 from 2000-03 and Elsa Stegemann who recorded 1,853 from 1995-99. Edwards currently leads the WCC in kills with 274 total and 4.22 per set.

Jenna Heller ranks seventh all-time in school history in career assists with 3,194. Heller and Edwards were named to the 2024 WCC Preseason Team.

Junior transfer
Jayhlin Swain joined the Tigers from Michigan State this season. She currently leads the team and ranks second in the conference in digs with 4.20 per set.

Pacific is 4-0 all-time against Washington State (8-5, 3-1 WCC) but the teams have not met since 2012. It will be the first ever WCC match-up between the two.

The Tigers are 19-5 all-time against Gonzaga (1-12, 0-3 WCC) and have won seven straight meetings.
