Volleyball Faces Crucial Two Game Swing

STOCKTON, Calif. – With nine games remaining in the season, Pacific volleyball needs to pull out wins over both Portland and San Francisco to stay in the hunt for the West Coast Conference crown.

The Tigers (13-8, 3-6 WCC) currently sit tied for seventh in the conference standings, which is five games out of first place.

Pacific opens the week Thursday at 6 p.m. on the road at Portland (10-9, 3-6 WCC) in each team's first look at the other this season. Pacific emerged victorious in both meetings last season and have taken six of the past seven to move the all-time series to 19-4 in Pacific's favor.

The team returns home Saturday at 12 p.m. to host the San Francisco Dons (12-8, 5-3 WCC), looking to sweep the season series for the third time in the past four seasons. Graduate Alexa Edwards registered a season-high 24 kills when these teams last met in the Sobrato Center on October 19, 2024.

Edwards needs just six kills between both matches to claim fourth place on the WCC career kills ranking. The graduate is the only player in the conference with over 300 kills this season and leads the conference in kills per set as well. Junior Jayhlin Swain has dug the most balls this season and is second in the conference in digs per set.

Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
