In a highly competitive bout of singles matches, Alam put the Tigers up 2-0 after defeating Antreas Djakouris 6-2, 6-3 on court three. Davis got on the board after Trainauskas retired from the match on court one.

"That was a great team win," head coach
Robin Goodman shared after the match, "Everyone contributed. The energy was high and the guys played tough. Credit to UC Davis who hung in there after doubles and made us really earn it. I'm proud of the fighting attitude our guys showed today."
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 10 as they travel to take on UC San Diego at 10 a.m.
