EUGENE, Ore. - Pacific men's tennis team split its two matches in Eugene this weekend after falling to Oregon 4-0.
The Tigers (1-1) traded doubles matches with the Ducks (2-0) after Oregon struck first on court one. Seniors
Ran Amar and
Andre Rodeia tied it after defeating Vlad Breazu and Avi Shugar 6-4 on court three.
On court two, sophomores
Tiago Silva and
Terence Das battled back to make it 7-6 against Oregon's David Cierny and Ray Lo but fell after the Ducks tandem took the doubles point [7-1].
In singles, Silva took his first set on court three 6-0 over Matthew Burton. Burton forced a third set but the two's match went unfinished after Oregon's Lenn Kuemkemann clinched the match for the Ducks on court six.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, Jan. 26 for their first home match of the season as they host UC Davis at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
