LOS ANGELES – In the last of a three-game road stretch, the Pacific men's basketball program dropped an 81-64 decision to Loyola Marymount on Saturday at Gersten Pavilion.

Pacific (6-13, 0-4 WCC) was in striking distance for most of the way until LMU (8-9, 1-2 WCC) used an 11-1 run midway through the second half to create separation.

The Tigers committed just six turnovers in the game, which was a season-low. They outscored the Lions 38-34 in the paint and 27-26 off the bench.

Junior
Cam Denson turned in a big night with 15 points, which was one shy of his career-high. Senior
Donovan Williams reached double-figures with 11 points, and senior
Judson Martindale tallied nine points.

LMU was led by Justin Wright who finished with 22 points and nine rebounds. Alex Merkviladze recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Tigers trailed 8-7 early after a three by Martindale. Later trailing 19-14, graduate
Greg Outlaw converted an old fashion three-point play to make it a 19-17 game with 7:08 remaining.

A pair of field goals by junior
Burke Smith had Pacific trailing 24-21 with 5:10 left. Though, the Lions ended the half strong and hit a three on their final possession to grab a 39-32 edge at the intermission.

A lay-up by Denson at the 15:01 mark kept it at a 47-40 difference. Martindale drained a pair of free throws as Pacific was down 51-44 with 12:28 to go.

The Tigers were still behind 58-48 when LMU went on an 11-1 run to push its lead up to 69-49 with 6:13 remaining. Pacific kept fighting and went on a 7-0 run in the closing minutes which included an and-one by Denson.

Pacific will return home Thursday to host Santa Clara at 7 p.m. at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The Tigers are 804-445 all-time at home, 341-212 in the Spanos Center and 5-5 this year.

NOTES
- Pacific and LMU split a pair of meetings last season, each winning at home. The Lions have a slight 35-33 edge in the all-time series.

- The Tigers are in the midst of a stretch of four road match-ups in five games.

- Sophomore
Moe Odum entered the game ranked second in the West Coast Conference in both assists (4.9 apg) and assist:turnover ratio (2.4). He ended with four assists and no turnovers.

- Denson, who missed Thursday's game at Pepperdine due to injury, returned for his fourth double-figure scoring performance in his last five outings. It was his 14th career double-digit game and 10th this season. Denson was 6-of-12 from the field.

- Williams notched his fourth consecutive double-figure scoring game, ninth this season and 15th of his career. Of his 11 points, nine came in the second half.
