PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pacific men's soccer team (4-3-3, 0-1 WCC) fell to a strong No. 11 Portland team (6-2-0, 1-0 WCC), 4-0, on Saturday.

The Tigers kept the game tight in the first half, holding a talented Portland offense to just 4 shots on goal. The Pilots scored in the 21
st and 34
th minutes to grab a 2-0 lead going into the half.
Portland carried their momentum on into the second by getting nine shots, with two of them turning into goals in the 62
nd and 83
rd minutes to grow their lead.
"We must give credit where credit is due," said head coach
Adam Reeves. "Ultimately, we weren't good in the first 35 minutes and that was the game… I was happy with the way we started the second half but needed a bit more quality in the final third. We will learn from this and come back next Saturday with a different level to us."
The Tigers will play their second conference game at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, against Loyola Marymount. Pacific will also host Family/Alumni and YMCA Night.
