SANTA CLARA, Calif.—Pacific women's soccer (6-4-1) fell to No. 13 Santa Clara (7-2-2) by a score of 6-0 on Sunday.
"Today is no different," said co-head coach
Danesha Adams. "There were some bright moments during the match but definitely many more we would like to have done better with. It was far from how we wanted the game to go, but we will adjust, develop and be more ready for our upcoming slate of conference matches."
The Tigers were out shot by the Broncos 24-7 and 11-3 on target. Seven Pacific players took one shot apiece. Junior
Aly Milford and fifth-year seniors
Lauren Frohan and
Jaida Nyby had their lone shots at the net.
Freshman goalkeeper
Libby Davy grabbed eight saves between the pipes.
"We have been through a lot during our non-conference portion of our season," said co-head coach
J.J. Wozniak. "We have learned a ton about ourselves both individually and collectively. We will use the upcoming week wisely and shift our attention to being ready for WCC play to begin at home next Saturday night."
Up next, Pacific returns to Knoles Field to begin West Coast Conference action against Portland at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will also host Youth Soccer Night with postgame autographs at the conclusion of the game.
