Meet the six new student-athletes that are joining the Tiger women's basketball team for the 2023-24 season:
Freshman
Stella Szabo will join the Tigers from Stockholm, Sweden. The 5'11" guard joins the Tigers after a successful prep career that included stints on the Swedish National U18 team and being named captain at the 2022 Nordic Championships. Szabo also played in the European Championship Division A in 2022 and was a part of the National High School Academy for the Swedish Basketball Federation. The guard set season highs in multiple categories against AIK with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Freshman
Nyah Lowery is a 5'11" guard from Sacramento, Calif., who attended Saint Mary's High School (Stockton). A prolific scorer, Lowery averaged 13.2 points per game her first year and 14.1 points per game her sophomore season. As a sophomore, Lowery developed into a complete player, adding 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game. She was named to the All-League Team in 2019-20. Lowery scored a career-high 31 points against rival Kennedy High School.
Junior
Endigo Parker is a 6'4" center from Fullerton, Calif., who attended Troy High School before playing at Eastern Arizona and Mt. San Antonio. At Eastern Arizona, Parker appeared in 29 games with two starts, averaging 2.6 points per game. At Mt. San Antonio, she played in 31 games, averaging 5.6 points per game.
Freshman
Jamie Kent is a 6'0" forward and wing player from Dublin, Calif., who attended Carondelet High School. She boasts a laundry list of awards and accolades, including the East Bay League honorable mention, West Coast Jamboree MVP, Nike TOC MVP and the Sabrina Ionescu MVP. Kent has averaged 12.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 3.6 steals per game.
Freshman
Kenlee Durrill is a 5'10" guard from Denver who attended Flatiron Academy. Durrill led the state in assists and helped her team win the conference championship every year she has played. She averaged 20.0 points and 7.5 assists per game while winning two state championships. Durrill was named First-Team All-State thrice and the 5280 League Player of the Year in 2019.
Sophomore
Lauren Glazier is a 6-4 forward from North Bend, Washington. Glazier transferred from Washington State where she scored her season high of six points twice, against #2 Stanford and against Cal. Glazier attended Mount Si High School and quickly became one of the best prep players in Washington. As a sophomore, Glazier led Mount Si in scoring 13.0 points per game and, at the same time, added 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game to her ledger. During her senior season, she set a school record in single-game scoring, putting up 35 points against Issaquah High School and was named the MVP of the Oregon vs Washington high school all-star game with 20 points.
