Miller Named to Pacific Volleyball Staff

STOCKTON, Calif. – With over a decade of college coaching experience, including multiple stops at Power 5 programs, Nicole Miller, a Stockton native, was named to the Pacific women's volleyball coaching staff in May 2023.

Miller joins the Tigers after serving as an assistant coach at Virginia during the 2021 season. In her lone season at Virginia, Miller helped the Cavaliers achieve the program's best start since the 2015 season, guiding the team to eight wins in the first 12 matches. Virginia's notable wins included a five-set victory at VCU, three consecutive sweeps over Bellarmine, Georgetown, and Fairleigh Dickinson, and a four-set triumph at North Carolina.

Before her time at Virginia, Miller served four seasons as associate head coach/recruiting coordinator at UC Davis. During her tenure with the Aggies, Miller helped mentor seven student-athletes to 10 All-Big West Conference awards, including five first-team honorees, a league freshman of the year, and three selections to the conference's all-freshman team.

Miller worked closely with the middle blockers, helping a pair of Aggie middles to rank among the top 10 in the Big West Conference in hitting percentage in 2019. In her three previous seasons, she also helped the team rank among the top four in the Big West in blocks, including ranking third in the conference in 2017.

Miller has also held assistant coaching positions at Clemson (2015-17), Charlotte (2014-15), Houston (2010-12), and Cincinnati (2012-14).

A former St. Mary's High School standout, Miller played collegiately at South Carolina from 2002 through 2005. She served as team captain for three seasons and posted blocking totals of 106 and a team-high 105 during her junior and senior years, respectively.

Besides her on-court success, Miller also captured two Southeastern Conference Good Works Team nods for her volunteer efforts in the community. In the classroom, she made the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2005.
