STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific women's tennis (6-5, 1-2) faced #3 Pepperdine (11-2, 3-0) Friday afternoon at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. The Waves left with a 4-0 win, but the Tigers picked up a doubles win over the #1 doubles team in the nation.
"Tough match against the #3 team in the country today," said Head Coach
Mike Erwin. "We always look forward to playing Pepperdine; as the scores show, we can compete with them and anyone else. Klara and Karina beating the #1 team in the country in doubles was a great moment for our squad. We are excited to return to play a tough LMU team tomorrow."

Karina Chao shined on court one in doubles. Facing the number one doubles team in the country, the two Tigers got out to an early lead, the Waves battled back to make it a match, but Kosan and Chao finished them off for the win.
The Waves picked up wins on courts two and three to take the doubles point and head into singles up 1-0.
Kosan continued to dominate the Waves in singles. While facing the #29 singles player in the country, Kosan won her first set 6-4 and was battling in her second set when the match ended. Chao and senior
Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle kept it close in their matches when the day ended for Pacific.
Needing only three points, the Waves picked up wins on courts five and six, while #17 Savannah Broadus took down sophomore
Tomi Main on court three to finish the match.
Pacific is back in action tomorrow with its second straight-ranked opponent in #52 LMU. The first serve will be at noon.
