Men's and women's basketball begin play this week in the WCC Championships in Las Vegas. Follow the progress of the teams on
PacificTigers.com. The men's team begins play at 8:30 p.m. Thursday against Pepperdine. The women's team has a first-round bye and begins play at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Fans are invited to campus to watch the game at The Lair, a pub-style gathering spot on the second floor of the DeRosa University Center. A daily campus parking pass is required between 8-5 on weekdays.

Women's water polo, women's track, softball and beach volleyball all go on the road for invitational events this week. Baseball has a single-game with Stanford and a road series at New Mexico State. The only ome competion is a Thursday beach volleyball contest against Portland at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts. Â

Monday, Feb. 27 – Baseball (1-5) at Stanford (5-2), 2 p.m. – Pacific will play its first midweek game of the season against the Cardinal. Wednesday, March 1 – Beach Volleyball (0-2) at UC Davis (2-0), 2 p.m. – The Tigers will face nearby rival UC Davis in a single match. Pacific dropped contests to San Jose State and Santa Clara to open the season while UC Davis swept two from San Francisco.

Thursday, March 2 – Beach Volleyball hosts Portland (0-0), Raney Sand Volleyball Courts, 1 p.m. – The Tigers will host their first home competition of the year, catching WCC foe Portland on a tour of the Bay Area. The Pilots will open the season against Stanford and Saint Mary's Wednesday and face San Jose State on Friday.

Thursday, March 2 – #7 seed Men's Basketball (14-17, 7-9) vs. Pepperdine (9-21, 2-14), WCC Tournament First Round, Orleans Arena, Las Vegas, 8:30 p.m. – After knocking off Portland, 81-77, in the season finale behind six players in double figures, Pacific finished in a tie for fifth in the 10-team WCC. The Tigers lost the tiebreaker to BYU and San Francisco and received the #7 seed. Pacific swept Pepperdine in the season series. The game will be televised on regional sports networks, BYUtv and the WCC Network. Zack Bayrouty will be broadcasting the game on Fox Sports 1280 in Stockton and on PacificTigers.com. Friday, March 3 – Saturday, March 4 – #13 Women's Water Polo at Pomona-Pitzer Invitational – The Tigers return after a rare weekend off with four contests in Claremont. Friday, Pacific faces #22 Long Island (6-6), 11:15 a.m. and Fresno Pacific (6-9), 4:15 p.m. Saturday, the Tigers face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (2-5), 11:30 a.m. followed by Mount St. Mary's (6-2). It's the final regular-season tournament event for the Tigers, who open Golden Coast Conference play on the road the following weekend.

Friday, March 3 – Sunday, March 4 – Softball (2-9) at Hawaii Spring Fling – The Tigers head to Oahu to play five games against four teams in the tournament. Pacific will open play on Friday against two Western New York teams, St. Bonaventure (0-3), 4 p.m. PT and Niagara (1-3), 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Tigers will face Pac-12 opponent Utah (10-4), 6 p.m. and host Hawaii (8-6), 8 p.m. Pacific will wrap up the trip with second game against the Purple Eagles of Niagara on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT. Saturday, March 4 – Women's Track at West Coast Twilight, Hayward, Calif. – The Tigers will compete outdoors for the first time this season at the Chabot College track. Pacific has not competed since the Sunshine Invite on February 11 when the Tigers set four school records in the indoor meet –
