STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball team (0-3) hosts Milwaukee (2-1) for the 2023 home opener. The two squads are slated to play one game on Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday.
Two freshmen led the Tigers at the plate during opening weekend.
Rylan Evans went 8-13 at the plate with a double; three runs scored and an RBI.
Peyton Miller had seven hits in 13 at-bats, scoring four runs and driving in a run. Graduate Student

Jacob Weiss all picked up multiple hits over the weekend. Sophomore
Andrew Guidara only appeared in one game but racked up three hits, two doubles and two RBI.

Jacob Smith held UNLV scoreless in his first collegiate start, pitching two innings with two strikeouts. Sophomores
Owen McWilliam and
Caden Duke had scoreless appearances, each pitching in multiple innings.
The Panthers opened the season with two wins over North Alabama. The offense shined for the Panthers, scoring 5+ runs in both wins. The Panthers have out-homered opponents 3-1 this year and is looking to buck the trend of being out-homered. The last time the Panther had more home runs than their opponents came in 2019 (48-42). 2019 was also the last time Milwaukee had a better batting average and outscored their opponents during a season.
