STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's basketball team (12-14, 7-8) continues to roll, picking up its fifth straight win in a 67-51 final over San Francisco (16-10, 6-8). The win moves the Tigers into fifth place in the WCC with two weeks to play.
Junior
Kadie Deaton tied her season-high with 15 points, adding five points, two steals and a block. Redshirt Junior
Rosie Schweizer was a beast on the boards, grabbing a team-best 12 rebounds. Junior
Liz Smith continued to score at will, scoring 14 points and not missing a shot from the free throw line.
The first quarter was a battle, with both teams trading leads until Deaton put the game in her hands, scoring six straight points for the Tigers to turn a 14-13 deficit into a 19-14 lead. Pacific only missed once from three in the quarter and took a five-point lead into the second.
The Pacific defense shut down a potent San Francisco offense in the second quarter, holding the Dons to 11 points and 0-6 from three. Pacific led by as many as 15 in the quarter as Deaton and Smith hit back-to-back threes to open the quarter and help Pacific pull away from San Francisco.
The third quarter was all Schweizer; the forward scored six of her nine points. Sophomore
Anaya James continued to find her groove, hitting a three with 2:31 remaining to give Pacific its largest lead of the game, a 19-point cushion.

Cassidy Johnson led the team in the fourth quarter, each of the forwards scoring three points. The effort helped the Tigers end the game outscoring the Dons every quarter, a feat the team had not accomplished since its January 7th win over LMU.
Next week, Pacific heads on the road, taking on #1 and #2 in the WCC. Gonzaga at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 and Portland at 3 p.m. on Feb. 18.
