Pacific Reaches Century Mark in Victory over Cal Maritime

Seven Tigers scored in double figures; Glazier records first career double-double

STOCKTON, Calif. – In front of 2,740 Tigers fans on Education Day, the Pacific women's basketball team soared over the century mark, taking down Cal Maritime 108-45 on Wednesday at Alex G. Spanos Center.

It marked the first time since 2017 that the Tigers (8-4) have scored this many points in a game. Pacific's 108 points against the Keelhaulers (0-8) are a fourth-best in program history, surpassing the 106 point-mark against San Jose State back on Nov. 24, 2017.

Sophomore Lauren Glazier had a day as she recorded her first double-double with a career-high 21 points and 11 rebounds. The North Bend, Washington native also notched a career-high four assists and two steals.

"I think it just helped that the team was encouraging to me and everything," said Glazier. "Once I started getting on a roll, it was going well. And after a certain point, I wanted to look for my teammates."

Graduate student Cecilia Holmberg finished with 17 points which was one-point shy of matching her career high while matching her season-high eight boards for the third time. Junior Elizabeth Elliott racked up 14 points while sophomore Sydney Ward matched her career-high 12 points and grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. Junior Anaya James and senior Liz Smith poured in 11 points apiece. James also matched her season-high eight assists for the third time. Freshman Nyah Lowery posted her first career double figure performance with a career-high 10 points.

Pacific shot 45-of-75 (.600) from the field, 7-of-14 (.500) at the three-point line and 11-of-13 (.846) from the free-throw line. Cal Maritime was 15-of-54 (.278) in shooting, 6-of-19 (.316) from behind the arc and 9-of-12 (.750) at the charity stripe.

The Tigers registered 25+ points in each quarter while holding the Keelhaulers to just 17 or less.

Pacific outscored Cal Maritime, 68-12, in the paint and had 29 points off 21 turnovers.

The Tigers recorded a season-high 49 rebounds and had 20 offensive boards that converted into 28 second chance points. In addition to posting a season-high 30 assists and 15 steals.

"We wanted to keep our standards where they are," said head coach Bradley Davis. "I was proud of the way we responded in the fourth quarter. I liked the way we started out in the first half. We just wanted to make sure that we maintained that kind of energy throughout the whole game."

Up next, Pacific will have a few days off before returning to the Spanos Center on New Year's Eve where it will host Columbia at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31.
