Pacific Swimming to Dual Fresno Pacific, Fresno State then Travel to CSU Bakersfield

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific swim team heads through the Central Valley with a full slate of action set for this weekend. After sweeping UC Santa Cruz in their first home meet of the season, the Tigers look to chase more wins as they travel through Fresno and Bakersfield.

The women's team (1-1) takes on both Fresno Pacific (0-1) and Fresno State (1-0) in a tri-meet while the men's team (1-0) concurrently takes on Fresno Pacific (0-1) in a dual on Friday, Nov. 3. The Tigers then travel further along the Valley to take on CSU Bakersfield's men's (1-1) and women's (1-1) teams in a dual on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The men are 2-0 all time against Fresno Pacific, defeating the Sunbirds quite handedly in their most recent meet. The Tigers last faced the Sunbirds a year ago, where they captured the 176-87 win in Fresno, Calif.

The Roadrunners will be a key test for the men's team. The Tigers seek their first dual meet win over CSU Bakersfield, with the Roadrunners owning the 2-0 edge at their home pool. The two programs have met head-to-head the past two seasons, with the Roadrunners taking both meets.

The women are also 2-0 over Fresno Pacific all-time. The Tigers won in a landslide 206-52 victory over the Sunbirds a year ago in Fresno, Calif. While they have the historical edge over Fresno Pacific, the Bulldogs present the Tigers with a huge test. Fresno State holds the 2-0 record over the Tigers as they captured the win most recently in the same meet a year prior.

The Roadrunners present a unique opportunity for the women's team, as they also seek their first win over CSU Bakersfield. The women narrowed the margin of victory last season after they hosted the Roadrunners at home, so they'll be ready to fight tough once more on the road.

The tri-meet for the women's team and the dual for the men's team begins on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. in Fresno, Calif. The dual meet with CSU Bakersfield is set for Saturday, Nov. 4 at noon in Bakersfield, Calif.
