Grant Huston Named MPSF Men’s Athlete of the Week

STOCKTON, Calif. – Fresh off a team title at the PAC Invite last weekend, Grant Huston was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday morning.

Huston soared through his season-opening performances and debut in the water at the PAC Invite at the Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center, notching top times in … events over the two-day invitational.

"Being named MPSF Men's Athlete of the Week is a tremendous accomplishment," Pacific head coach Katelyne Herrington said. "His performances at the PAC Invite were impressive, especially while balancing the demands of two sports in water polo and swim."

Huston had one of the standout performances for Pacific at the 2026 PAC Invite, particularly in the individual medley. His headline performance was the 200-yard IM, where he won in 1:45.89 and led a dominant 1-2-3-4 Pacific finish. His time was the second fastest in school history in that event.

Huston is the first Tiger to earn an MPSF weekly award this season and the first one since Nate Rasmussen did so in January of 2026. This is the first career MPSF award for Huston.

Huston and the Tigers will next compete in the Bay Area, taking on San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz, hosted by the Spartans on Oct. 31 at noon.
