SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Fifth-year senior
Ryanne Molenaar scored her first goal of the season in the 89th minute to lead Pacific women's soccer (7-6-1, 1-2 WCC) past San Diego (1-10-2, 0-2-1 WCC), 1-0, on Saturday. The Tigers earned their first West Coast Conference win of the season while snapping a four-game losing streak.

Pacific was neck-and-neck with San Diego throughout most of the contest. Both teams took 12 shots each with six in the net.

Grace Campos in transition. The Redlands, Calif., native found sophomore
Anaya Shelton who passed the ball to Molenaar. With a San Diego defender on her, the Yorba Linda, Calif. native kicked the ball from outside the penalty arc and past Torreos goalkeeper Sophine Kevorkian to get the Tigers on the board in the final forty seconds. The goal also marks the ninth in Molenaar's career.
Senior goalkeeper
Juliana Alexander notched her second career shutout while collecting a career-high six saves.
"We are hoping this will jump start us in conference as we have a few big games in the coming weeks," said co-head coach
Danesha Adams. "Now it's time to rest and prepare for Santa Clara."
