STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis team heads out to the ITA Northwest Regional tournament this weekend from Friday, Oct. 6 until Sunday, Oct. 8 in Berkeley, Calif. Six will represent the Tigers as they vie for multiple berths in the ITA Super Regional in two weeks.
Sophomore
Tiago Silva returns to action this weekend after winning the Aggie Invitational singles final at UC Davis last week. He's joined by sophomore
Riley Hillenbrand, redshirt sophomore
Terence Das, and junior
Justas Trainauskas. All three also made appearances at the Aggie Invitational, coming away with key wins of their own for the Tigers.
To round out the Tiger lineup are seniors
Peter Alam and
Andre Rodeia. Rodeia makes his fall debut this weekend, while Alam returns once more, after back-to-back weekends in this fall's Battle in the Bay. While in San Francisco, Alam, aside Trainauskas, ran through multiple Pac-12 opponents en route to a doubles victory in the Battle in the Bay qualifier. They continued finding success together in the main draw the week after.
This week's tournament follows similar stakes, with appearances in the doubles or singles quarterfinals necessary to qualify for the subsequent ITA Super Regional.
