STOCKTON, Calif—Pacific women's cross country begins the postseason at the West Coast Conference Championships, hosted by Pepperdine, on Saturday. The meet will be live streamed on ESPN+.
Last race, the Tigers claimed seventh at the Bronco Invitational. Three freshmen finished in the top three for Pacific.
Cathrine Groenbech led the way with a season-best time of 23:21.4 and earned 26th place. Teammates
Emma Kaufman (23:37.4) and
Valeria Espinoza (23:57.7) came right behind in 35th and 44th. Freshman
Keeli Reinken and sophomore
Briteny Goriye also set season bests with times of 24:10.6 and 27.07.1.
The Tigers look to place higher in the conference championship this season. In 2022, Pacific finished 10th overall as a team. Senior
Sophie Pazzo was a top finisher for the Tigers, placing 54th at 22:41.7.
If Pacific or any of the Tigers are eligible, they will run at the NCAA West Regional at Sacramento State at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.
