STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's (3-4) and women's (4-5) swim teams host UC Santa Barbara at 10 a.m. this Saturday, January 21 on Senior Day. There will be seven seniors being celebrated before the meet. The men's team will recognize
Nicholas Cisco,
Franklin Fitzpatrick,
Richard Lewis,
Christian Schroeder,
Jonathan Tan and
Nalex Young.
Jessica Clark will be honored as the lone senior on the women's team.
Last time out, against Cal Poly, the men's team won 12 races led by triple-winner senior
Dylan Parente. He took the top spot in the 200 free, 100 free and 50 free.
Freshman
Bridger Sink, junior
Alex Kurotori and freshman
Ethan Cole each won two events. Sink took the top spot in both the 100 and 200 breast competitions. Kurotori finished first in the 200 back and 200 individual medley. Cole got the gold in the 1000 free and 500 free.
The women's team also performed well against the Mustangs, winning 11 races with sophomore
Paige Sondgeroth leading the way as a triple-winner. Sondgeroth took the top spot in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 individual medley.
Junior
Caitlin Tan and sophomore Jaydn Phillips came out as double winners last weekend. Tan got wins in the 100 and 200 fly, while Phillips got wins in the 200 and 500 free.
Both teams last faced the Gauchos in 2020, when the men's team fell short, 160-94, and the women's team came out victorious, 149-108.
The Tigers look to continue building on their momentum as the MSPF Championships are four weeks away.
