Game Recap: Men's Basketball | | Henry Golden

Men's Basketball Falls at San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Pacific men's basketball team fell at San Francisco, 78-57, in a West Coast Conference contest Thursday evening at the War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.

"We spent time on the scouting report, and we weren't strong enough to execute," Head Coach Leonard Perry said after the game.

Donovan Williams dropped 15 points for the Tigers (10-11, 3-3) and led the team in rebounds with five. Williams, reaching double figures for the first time since December 3, scored most of his point total in the second half and went seven for eight from the free-throw line throughout the contest.

Jordan Ivy-Curry poured in 11 points off the bench, shooting 44.4 percent (four-for-nine) from the field, and led the team with three made three-point baskets.

Despite the Dons (13-9, 2-5) holding the lead for the entire game, the contest remained close during the first 10 minutes of play. Trailing by no more than four points, the Tigers closed the game to 13-11 at the 10:16 mark of the first half before the Dons pulled away.

Pacific returns to action at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, as it faces off against #6 Gonzaga at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
