Williams shined at Lincoln North Star High School, where he was named Nebraska’s Mr. Basketball after leading the state with an average of 28.3 points per game. A true scorer from all three levels for the Gators, Williams posted a school-record 50 points against Class A state champion Bellevue West just days after scoring 44 points against Lincoln Northeast. With his success at the high school level, Williams was a three-time First Team All-State selection and a two-time First Team Super-State honoree by the Nebraska Coaches Association.
