Tigers Remain Unbeaten in 1-1 Draw with San Jose State

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team (3-0-5) remained unbeaten as the Tigers battled to a 1-1 draw with the San Jose State Spartans (0-3-3).

The Tigers out shot the Spartans 19-3, including a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. Aniela Jensen scored her first goal of the season and tied for the lead in shots and shots on goal. Abigail Wolf recorded her third assist of the season, tied for the team lead. Lauren Frohan had three shots, with two on goal, both tied for team bests. Alexis Pashales also had two shots on goal. The Tigers held the Spartans to no corner kicks while taking seven as a team.

The Spartans scored right out of the gate, putting the first goal on the board in the third minute. The Tigers would hold the Spartans to just one more shot in the first half while taking 10 shots but could not find the net. The Tigers had multiple good opportunities in the first half but went into the break down, 1-0.

Coming out of the half, the Tigers evened the game up as Wolf put a ball into the box, and Jensen battled with the goalkeeper but found the back of the net. The Tigers put four more shots on goal in the half, but the Spartans goalkeeper kept the game even. Twelve Tigers fired shots in the draw.
The Tigers head on the road next, taking on Nevada on Thursday, Sept 15.
