In the net, Crump set her season high in saves with 11 as the Hawkeyes put 10 shots on goal in the first half. Iowa ended the game with 17 total shots to just eight for the Tigers.
The Hawkeyes controlled most of the first half, testing Crump early and often with five shots on goal in the first 20 minutes.

Ryanne Molenaar both put shots on goal but could not find the net.
Iowa was the first to strike, scoring in the 65th minute as the Hawkeyes continued to create chances. The Tigers did not back down, responding in the 76th minute as Morrison received a pass from Rosenblatt off a set piece and buried the ball to tie the game up. The Tigers continued to threaten until the final whistle, with multiple opportunities to take the lead in the last ten minutes.
"What a game and atmosphere our players and program were a part of tonight," said Co-Head Coaches
Danesha Adams and
J.J. Wozniak. "Iowa took it to us physically in the first half and were on the front foot for most of the half, but we regrouped at halftime, and we got after it the rest of the way. So many positives to take from this road match against a quality BIG10 opponent but a lot to learn from overall, a good result and a fantastic experience for our group! We now turn our attention to our Sunday evening match at Fresno State and focus on finishing the weekend on a high note!"
The Tigers take on Fresno State on Sunday, Sept. 4. Kick-off will be at 7:30 p.m.
