Gonzaga Headlines 2022-23 WCC Men's Basketball Opponents

SAN MATEO, Calif. – The defending WCC champion Gonzaga Bulldogs headline a list of eight West Coast Conference opponents on the 2022-23 Pacific men's basketball home schedule, as announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon. Gonzaga has won the WCC Tournament  the last three years and nine of the last 10 years.

The conference 16-game format calls for each team to play eight of the nine opponents at home, as well as on the road. For the second year, Saint Mary's will be the team that Pacific does not play at home and faces only on the road. Dates, times, and television information will be announced later.

The Tigers will have home/away matchups against San Francisco, Pepperdine, San Diego, BYU, Santa Clara, Loyola Marymount, and Portland.

The 2022-23 Gonzaga game will be the first time that the Pacific community will be able to see the Tigers face the WCC's top program in Stockton in four years. The 2022 game was canceled due to COVID-19 protocal. In 2021, the game was played without fans, again due to COVID-19 protocol. In 2020, the Bulldogs were the team omitted from the home schedule for the Tigers. The last game between the two programs in Stockton with fans was played in 2019 in front of a crowd of 4,644 spectators.
