STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's basketball team dropped a home decision to Cal State East Bay Sunday afternoon, falling 79-73 at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
"I thought we were flat from the jump," Head Coach
Leonard Perry said after the game. "We couldn't get anything going, and we never recovered."
Nick Blake paced the Tigers (4-8) offensively, scoring a season-high 19 points. Blake was also successful from distance, reaching a season high in made three-point baskets, knocking down four of his six attempts. Scoring in double figures in two of the last three games, The junior from Las Vegas, Nev., increased his season scoring average to 8.5 points per game.
Leading a bench unit that outscored the Pioneers (3-6), 28-23,
Keylan Boone was the team's second-leading scorer with 15 points. Boone tallied his best shooting performance of the season, connecting on 55.6 percent (five-for-nine) of his attempts, with all made baskets coming from beyond the three-point line.
Tyler Beard, the third team member to score in double figures, contributed to the scoring efforts with 11 points.
Pacific returns to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, as it squares off against Stanislaus State at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
