STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's (2-1) and women's (3-3) swim teams host CSU Bakersfield at noon this Saturday, Nov. 5. The meet will serve as Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day and is the final home meet of the semester for the Tigers.
The men's team is looking to bounce back after facing top-ranked Cal last week.
Against the Golden Bears, junior Aidan Scott took second in the 200 back, and sophomore Mitchell Hopper finished second in the 100 free to lead the Tigers.
The women's team is focused on turning the page after coming up short against San Jose State.
Against the Spartans, the Tigers swept the 1000 free and the 500 free, with freshman Diana Chan and sophomore Jadyn Phillips claiming the top spot, respectively.
Both teams faced the Roadrunners last season and expect a better outcome this time around.
"Bakersfield has always been one of our rivals, and the team is fired up to race this weekend in our home pool," said Head Coach Katelyne Herrington. "There are some critical races we'll need to capitalize on to earn the win on both sides."
Swim meets at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool are complimentary to attend, but if you can't make it to the pool, you can catch the meet live here: https://wccsports.com/watch/?sid=493894
