OCALA, Fla. – The Pacific swim and dive program put together the finishing touches of a strong three-day effort at the National Invitational Championships at the FAST Facility.
The Tigers' men's program earned an 11th place finish overall out of the 30 teams competing with 285 points. Queens, Ohio State and Grand Canyon finished as the top three programs.
Freshman Raphael Vanhecke turned in another standout performance after breaking a Pacific record on the opening day of NICs. Vanhecke solidified a four-place finish today in the men's 100 yard IM with a personal best time of 48.74.
Sophomore
Nate Rasmussen also notched a personal best in the men's 100 yard freestyle with a time of 43.29 for third place in the A final.
The men's 400 yard freestyle relay earned major team points with a ninth-place nod in that event, coming in at 2:57.48. Vanhecke and Rasmussen swam the fastest portions of that race.
With the National Invitational Championships in the books, the Tigers turn their attention to next season after a strong finish to the 2025-26 campaign.
