The University of the Pacific women's soccer team kicked off a six-game road swing with its fourth shutout of the season and junior
Hunter More scored her first collegiate goal to lead the Tigers past host Cal Baptist, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon in Irvine.
"We couldn't be prouder of this team, following a quick turnaround from a tough match on Friday night and travel yesterday, to put that kind of effort in for 90 minutes today to secure another W is massive for this program," said interim co-head coaches
J.J. Wozniak and
Danesha Adams. "Credit to Cal Baptist for getting after it as well but to put a complete weekend – two wins – together for our group is extremely well deserved and earned."
The win raises the Tigers' record to 4-1-1 on the season – the four wins are the most for a Pacific squad since 2017, who ended the season with a 5-13-2 mark. The loss drops the Lancers to 1-4 on the season.
The clean sheet for goalkeeper
Brenna Crump is her third of the season and the most in a season since Tashia Long had five in 2011.
