Pacific Loses 1-0 to UC Davis

Davis, Calif. – A tightly contested match for 90 minutes saw host UC Davis come away with a 1-0 win over the University of the Pacific men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers and Aggies combined for 25 shots with host UC Davis having a slight 13-12 advantage. It was a header by Grant Fidler, following a cross set up by Max Glasser and a flick by Maximillian Arftsen that got just inside the left post for the only goal which proved to be the game-winning effort.
 
1st Half
• UC Davis held a 10-3 advantage in shots – the Tigers' Yazid Omri recorded two of the three shtos for Pacific.
• Tigers' goalkeeper Eric Cotton made a pair of saves. 

2nd Half
• Pacific quickly put pressure on the UC Davis defense in the second half with a pair of shots by Mamoru Kamisasanuki and Omri. Aggies' goalkeeper Derrick Chan came away with a save to keep the match scoreless.
• The 58th minute saw the Aggies score on the goal by Fidler.
• The Tigers' Ryan Her had a pair of equalizer chances in the 68th and 71st minute, respectively that were saved by Chan.
• Pacific outshot UC Davis, 9-3 in the second half.

Next, Pacific will host Loyola Marymount at Knoles Field on Saturday, October 2 at 7 p.m. to begin West Coast Conference play.
