STOCKTON, Calif. - After earning two wins on their three-game road trip, the Pacific men's basketball team (8-8, 5-7 WCC) will wrap up an unconventional and unprecedented regular season with their final home game of the year against the San Francisco Dons (10-12, 4-7 WCC) on Saturday evening.
Â
The winner of Saturday's contest will likely lock up a top-six seed in the WCC Tournament which begins on Thursday in Las Vegas. Seedings are determined by a Ken Pomeroy algorithm that calculates teams' adjusted win percentage which factors in the number of games played and strength of schedule.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- After earning back-to-back wins at Portland and San Diego, Pacific dropped its most recent contest this Thursday at Saint Mary's by a final of 58-46. The Tigers never found their rhythm offensively as they shot just 32.8 percent (19-for-58) from the floor while going 2-for-9 from beyond the arc. Pacific led for just 11 seconds in the game, when they took a 19-18 lead with 3:22 remaining in the first half on a pair of made free throws by senior Broc Finstuen. The Gaels then proceeded to end the half on a 7-0 run and would not ever relinquish the lead as they outscored the Tigers 33-27 in the second half. Sophomore Daniss Jenkins led the Tigers with 12 points on 5-for-10 while Finstuen added 11 on 4-for-13. Graduate student Jordan Bell pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for the Tigers.
- Saturday marks the 107th meeting all-time between Pacific and San Francisco, with the Dons having won 75 of the previous 106 meetings, including 15 of the last 18 since the last time Pacific earned back-to-back wins in the series in 2007 and 2008. Prior to last season, the Dons had won seven consecutive meetings against the Tigers until Pacific earned a 60-48 victory at War Memorial Gym on Feb. 6, 2020, their first win at USF since Dec. 5, 2007. The Dons earned a 79-75 win at the Spanos Center last Jan. 11 and would go on to dispatch the Tigers in the WCC Tournament on March 7, winning the 4/5 seeded game by a final of 72-54. USF's last loss at the Spanos Center came on Feb. 25, 2016 by a final of 79-70.Â

SCOUTING THE DONS:
- San Francisco enters Saturday's contest having lost five straight dating back to a Jan. 23 loss versus Saint Mary's. The Dons' last win came on Jan. 21 at Santa Clara, a 73-50 decision.Â
- Following the loss to Saint Mary's, USF went on a COVID pause that caused three games to be postponed, including their contest at the Spanos Center on Feb. 4. Most recently, the Dons fell at BYU on Thursday by a final of 79-73 despite a career-high 25 points from sophomore guard Julian Rishwain. Jamaree Bouyea also added 16 while Khalil Shabazz netted 12 in the loss for the Dons. While San Francisco shot just 38.3 percent (23-for-60) from the field, BYU shot a blistering 58.8 percent (30-for-51), including 57.9 percent (11-for-19) from three-point range. Alex Barcello scored 29 points for the Cougars while going a perfect 7-for-7 from beyond the arc.
- Bouyea is the Dons' leading scorer on the season, averaging 17.3 points per game while shooting just under 50 percent from the field, including 36.6 percent from three. Shabazz follows with 15.6 points per game while Dzmitry Ryuny averages 9.3 points and a team-high 5.6 rebounds per contest.
