Biography
Prior to Pacific:
Comes to UOP after one year with Nebraska...As a junior, Green appeared in 28 games for the Cornhuskers, including 15 starts...Overall, the 6'3" guard averaged 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 2019-20, with his 54 total assists being good enough for second on the team...Prior to his time at Nebraska, the dynamic playmaker spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Western Nebraska Community College, playing under head coach Cory Fehringer...Green finished his two-year career at WNCC as the program's second all-time leading scorer with 1,278 points, while also finishing in the top-10 in career assists (fifth, 297), steals (seventh, 114) and three-point field goals (sixth, 134)...Heading into the class of 2019, he was rated as the No. 8 junior college player nationally and No. 2 combo guard by prospective scouts. As a sophomore at WNCC, Green garnered second-team NJCAA All-America honors, averaging 23.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists per game and shooting 55 percent from the field, including 39 percent from behind-the-arc while knocking down 2.7 three-pointers per game...Overall, he would rank eighth nationally in scoring at the junior college level, guiding WNCC to a 24-8 record in 2018-19...For his efforts, Green was the South Region IX Player of the Year in addition to being tabbed the Co-Player of the Year in all of Region IX in 2019... Green was in double figures in 31 of 32 contests, which included nineteen games with at least 20 points during his sophomore campaign... He also had six 30-point games as well, which was highlighted by a school-record 51-point performance against Iowa Lakes CC, in which he finished 10-of-14 from three-point range...In his first year at WNCC, Green averaged 14.9 points, 3.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game, helping the Cougars to a 27-8 overall record and the program's first regional title in 17 years in 2018...At the completion of the 2017-18 season, Green had scored in double figures in 23 of the team's last 24 games, culminating this streak with a 35-point performance against Central Wyoming College on Mar. 8, 2018...Prior to his stop at WNCC, Green graduated from George Washington High School in Denver, where he averaged nearly 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals his senior year...His team went on to finish 25-3 and was the Class 5A runner-up during his senior year in 2017...As a whole, Green netted over 1,000 points at George Washington and set the school's single-game scoring record with 64 points, breaking the mark held by former NBA All-Star Chauncey Billups.
