STOCKTON, Calif. - Nearly three weeks removed from a double-overtime loss in Provo, the Pacific men's basketball team (6-6, 3-5 WCC) will welcome the BYU Cougars (15-5, 6-3 WCC) to the Alex G. Spanos Center to wrap up their regular season series.

THINGS TO KNOW:
- In their first meeting of the season on Jan. 30 at the Marriott Center, Pacific led at halftime, 32-31, before the Tigers saw BYU shoot a blistering 56 percent (14-for-25) in the second half, 80 percent (4-for-5) in the first overtime and 71.4 percent (5-for-7) in double-overtime. With Jordan Bell, Jeremiah Bailey and Nigel Shadd having fouled out prior to the start of the second overtime, the Cougars would go on to outscore the Tigers 20-12 in the final period to earn the seven-point victory.
- Senior Justin Moore was Pacific's leading scorer in the contest with 18 points on 6-for-16 from the floor while also distributing a team-high four assists. Junior Jahbril Price-Noel poured in 16 on 6-for-12, including a 3-for-5 effort from beyond the arc. Joining these two in double figures, sophomore Daniss Jenkins scored 13 while Bell had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
- Pacific enters Thursday's contest on the heels of an 80-76 loss at Loyola Marymount in which they led by 14 with just over nine minutes to play before seeing the Lions end the game on a 31-13 run while shooting 50 percent (5-for-10) from three in the second half and 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from distance for the entire contest.
- Overall, BYU holds the all-time advantage in the series between the two programs, 15-5, as the Tigers are aiming for their first win over the Cougars in Stockton since a nailbitting 67-66 win on Jan. 6, 2018.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- BYU will be playing its first game in ten days on Thursday as their previous two home games versus Saint Mary's and San Diego were postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. The Cougars last played on Feb. 8 at home versus No. 1 Gonzaga and suffered an 82-71 loss in which Alex Barcello scored a team-best 20 points on 9-for-16 shooting. BYU shot 48 percent (28-for-58) in the contest, including 38 percent (8-for-21) from distance.
- Prior to their loss versus Gonzaga, the Cougars had earned back-to-back wins over Pacific (Jan. 30) and at Portland (Feb. 4).
- Brandon Averette and Matt Haarms are next in line behind Barcello in scoring with averages of 11.4 and10.8 points per game respectively.
- BYU is second in the league in scoring offense (78.75 PPG), scoring margin (+10.35), field goal percentage (.481) and field goal percentage defense (.407). The Cougars also leads the WCC in three-point field goal percentage (.359), and rebounding offense (40.35 avg/game).
- Since his hiring in 2019, BYU has never lost back-to-back games in the Mark Pope era and currently holds the third-longest active streak of games played without consecutive losses at 54, following only Houston and Gonzaga.
