STOCKTON, CA – Offensive is always fun, and the Tigers found that out on Wednesday evening. Five goals and 90 minutes later the Tigers defeated San Francisco 5-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Tigers started out hot on offense, with multiple shots on goal in the first few minutes of the game. After hitting the woodwork and the Dons goalkeeper making a few great saves the Tigers got on the board with a goal from Erik Centeno that rattled off the left post and into the back of the net. After Centeno's goal in the 36thminute, Ryan Her scored a beautiful curving goal in the 39th minute.
Centeno started the second half the same way he ended the first, scoring his second goal of the game and extending the Tigers lead to 3-0. The Dons trimmed the lead to two with a goal in the 62nd minute. The Tigers did not back down, scoring two goals in less than a minute thanks to Cooper Riley and Mamoru Kamisasanuki. With the lead back up to 5-1 the Tigers continued to play aggressively and finished with their best offensive game of the season.
TIGER LEADERS:
Centeno had two goals; Her, Cooper, and Kamisasanuki all scored as well. Yazid Omri and Mathias Saether both had two assists in the win. Her, Centeno, and Samuel Villalta also had assists.
In goal Eric Cotton had a quiet night as he only had one save. In his first action this season Brady Cooper also had a save.
