Balanced Team Attack Leads Pacific to 4th Straight-Set Win On the Season

San Francisco, Calif. – Pacific picked up its fourth straight-set win on the season as they defeated host San Francisco, 25-22, 26-24, 25-22 on Saturday afternoon. Darina Kumanova and Alexa Edwards led the attack with 14 and 12 kills respectively; plus setters Gabby Leo and Jenna Heller each had 18 assists. Both Leo and Heller also had two service aces to go along with 15 digs from Jadyn Tubbs

Set 1
• 7-0 run after an early 2-0 deficit for the Tigers.
• The Dons came back to tie the set at 7 before Pacific regained the lead on a USD service error.
• Pacific remained in front for the rest of the set.
Darina Kumanova had five kills as Pacific hit at a .216 clip
Gabby Leo and Jenna Heller each had five assists; Alexa Edwards had three kills and two block solos to lead the Tigers.

Set 2
• The two teams traded the first eight points before four-straight points by the Tigers put Pacific ahead until USF came back to tie the set at 15. 
• With the set tied at 15, the two teams were tied on seven more occasions. 
• With the two teams tied at 24 and the 12th tie of the set, the Tigers' Alexa Edwards put down back-to-back kills to secure the second set in favor of Pacific, 26-24. 
• Kumanova had five more kills, plus Leo and Heller had eight and seven assists, respectively as the Pacific attack hit .162 in the set. Jadyn Tubbs added five digs.
 
Set 3
• The two teams were tied on four occasions, including at 14 when Pacific came back with five-straight points to take a 19-14 lead. 
• In the five-point spurt, the Tigers picked up a pair of service aces from Jenna Heller and a kill by Kennedy Kaminsky.
• The Tigers would hit .136 in the final set to go along with four blocks.
• Individually, Alexa Edwards would have five kills and six digs in the set for Pacific.

Pacific will host Gonzaga and Portland on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 30 at noon, respectively at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
