MORAGA, CA – The Tigers got back into WCC action Saturday afternoon. A physical and defensive matchup between Pacific and Saint Mary's, the Gaels snuck a goal in late in the second half which is all it took for Saint Mary's to take the 1-0 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The two teams battled in the first half, with more fouls than shots for either team. The Tigers best opportunity to came with about 15 minutes remaining in the first when Pacific had three straight corner kicks and a shot but could not get it on goal.
The second half was another defensive half. The Gaels finally broke through to score after six shots in just under eight minutes of play. The shot was deflected which kept goalkeeper Eric Cotton from being able to stop the shot. The Tigers had two shots on goal later in the half but were not able to get a goal to even up the game.
TIGER LEADERS:
Mamoru Kamisasanuki led the team with four shots, Yazid Omri had two shots as well. Kamisasanuki and Emery Rapaport both had a shot on goal. Goalkeeper Eric Cotton had three saves in goal for the Tigers.

The Tigers are back home next week with a midweek matchup against San Francisco. The Wednesday game will kick-off at 7:00 PM.
