STOCKTON, CA – With the women's basketball season just under a month away the West Coast Conference has released the pre-season poll and All-WCC Preseason Team. Both the poll and the preseason team are chosen by the coaches. 

The Tigers were picked to finish tenth in the conference after being picked sixth last year. "I think Pacific being picked tenth is a reflection of us graduating arguably the best and most productive player in the WCC over the last two years, one of the best forwards in the country and an experienced senior point guard," says Head Coach Bradley Davis. "We are definitely an unknown, and in sports it's almost impossible to quantify unknowns.  What is known is that this poll means the season is around the corner, and this team will be ready to compete. We just can't wait to welcome our fans back to the Alex G. Spanos Center."

The Tigers had two players on the WCC preseason team last season, both Valerie Higgins and Brooklyn McDavid graduated at the end of the season. For the upcoming season there are no Tigers on the preseason team. BYU leads the conference with three players on the team. 

"Every year I think how tough the WCC is going to be top to bottom.  This year is no different but coming into a season with 'COVID seniors' and immediately eligible transfers, this has to be one of the most unpredictable years in a long time.  The one team that stands out on paper for their experience and depth is BYU, with USD right there with them," Head Coach Bradley Davis says about the upcoming season.
