STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific (1-12, 0-1 WCC) won the doubles point on Sunday morning, but dropped a 1-4 match to San Diego to open up play at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. 
 
Doubles

• The Tigers picked up a pair of 6-3 wins to come out firing and claim the doubles point.
• Preseason All-WCC member Philip Hjorth teamed up with freshman Coby McCaig for the win on two, while Nathan Hampton and John Horoz Garner claimed the win on three.
• Akram El Sallaly and Toi Kobayashi were up 5-3 when the match was abandoned.

 
Singles

• Pacific couldn't carry its momentum over to singles play however, falling in straight sets on all courts. 
• Individually, McCaig kept up his fight on six with a tough 4-6 loss in the first set before having the match abandoned.

Up Next:

• Pacific will take a quick break from conference play to host Furman on Monday at 11:00 a.m. before diving back into WCC play with a home match against BYU on Saturday, March 21.
