STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's tennis team (0-1) picked up the doubles point against UC Davis (1-1) at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center Friday afternoon, but fell to the Aggies 2-5 in the season opener.
 
Doubles

• Pacific won the doubles point on the third and deciding match to take a 1-0 lead in its season opener.
• Philip Hjorth and Ross Watson fell 0-6 while Akram El Sallaly and Tadiwa Chinamo took the 6-0 win, setting up Nathan Hampton and John Horoz Garner to decide the doubles point.
• Hampton and Horoz Garner sealed the 1-0 lead for the Tigers in doubles play, taking down Dariush Jalali and Daniel Landa 6-3.

Singles

• Pacific turned cold in singles play, with Watson taking the lone singles win by way of a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 decision over Ivan Thamma.
• Horoz Garner stretched his match with Brett Brinkman to three sets while El Sallaly went to three sets with David Goulak.
