Last Time Out
The Tigers recorded its lowest shooting percentage from the field since rejoining as a WCC member in 2013-14. As a team, Pacific shot 21.7 percent from the field en route to a 58-32 loss to the visiting Saint Mary's Gaels on Thursday night. It marked the Tigers second 30-point performance this season, scoring just 36 against Gonzaga in Spokane on Jan. 10, 2019. The Last time the Tigers scored as low as 32 points was in a loss to San Jose State (61-32) on January 13, 1956.
The History
• Saturday marks the 60th meeting between Pacific and Loyola Marymount. LMU leads the all-time series, 31-28.
• Pacific and LMU split their season series in 2017-18 with the Tigers claiming an 88-82 overtime victory at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
• The Tigers are 4-7 against Loyola Marymount since rejoining the West Coast Conference in 2013-14.
• Six of the last seven meetings have been decided by six points or less. Since rejoining the WCC, the margin of victory between the Tiger and Lions has been 5.6 points and twice the game was decided in overtime.
This Season Against LMU
Both teams came out with some cold shooting in Los Angeles, but LMU took the early lead over the Tigers. Despite being out-shot from the field, Pacific and Loyola Marymount wrapped up the first half within six points of one another, thanks to a 37.5 percent Tiger effort from beyond the arc. Lafayette Dorsey shined against the Lions after totaling a team-high 12 points on 4-for-11 shooting from the field and 2-for-3 shooting from the free throw line. In addition, the guard totaled five rebounds.
At Home
Historically, it has been very difficult for a majority of the Tigers opponents to come play at the Alex G. Spanos Center. That seems to still be true today. Thursday's Saint Mary's loss was the first loss at home that was decided by more than 12 points. Three of the Tigers six WCC games at home have were decided by four or less points and the margin of victory at the Alex G. Spanos Center in conference play has been 8.8 points. Another quick hit at home is that the Tigers have been successful at holding some of the WCC's top squads to its lowest score on the season (excluding losses to Gonzaga). Pacific held San Francisco to a season-low 53 points and Saint Mary's to just 58 points at the Spanos Center.

His game totals included two steals, one assist, and one rebound.
Anthony Townes snagged conference weekly honors on December 17, 2018 following following two stellar performances that helped the Tigers to a 2-0 finish, with wins over Long Beach State (74-68) and Cal State Northridge (79-77). Townes averaged 19 points with 70.6 percent shooting from the field and 93.3 percent shooting from the free throw line. In addition, he averaged 7.5 rebounds.
