SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Pacific men's soccer (6-9-1, 3-3-0) team snagged an extra time victory over San Francisco (2-13-1, 0-6-0) on Sunday night, 2-1, courtesy of a last minute goal from Jonathan Rico-Contreras that not even the dense Hilltop fog could stop.
Sunday night marked the Tigers' first victory at San Francisco in program history.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Sunday's match featured fouls aplenty in the first 22 minutes with Pacific racking up five to San Francisco's four.
- The Tigers compiled a 9-3 shot advantage through the first 45 minutes, but were unable to put one home before a scoreless halftime intermission.
- San Francisco opened the scoring in the 60th minute on courtesy of Jaidon Reynolds, just 1:37 after he subbed on for Cameron Martin.
- Ryan Her leveled the match in the 84th minute off a free kick from the top of the box brought about by a Dons foul from Eden Ben Hemo.
- Both sides traded scoring chances at the end of regulation with one corner kick apiece, but were unable to find the back of the net.
- Rico-Contreras and Derick Roque led the Tigers with four shots apiece on the evening. Pacific out-shot the Dons 15-7 overall in the win, including holding a 7-2 advantage on frame.

- The Tigers return to Knoles Field on Saturday, November 16 for Senior Night against Gonzaga. Pacific will honor Rico-Contreras, Oliver Tate, Tariq Branche, Anthony Orendain, Jonathan Jimenez and Mateo Gomez prior to the match's 7:00 p.m. kickoff. The Tigers' final regular season match of 2019 will be broadcast exclusively on The WCC Network.
