Pacific Can’t Overcome Slow Start in Loss to Waves

MALIBU, Calif. – Brenna Crump made a career high 11 saves, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers (3-13-0, 0-6-0 WCC) dropped a 4-0 decision to Pepperdine (8-6-2, 4-2-0 WCC) Saturday afternoon at Tari Frahm Rokus Field in Malibu.

In Case You Missed It
  • Crump made her West Coast Conference debut in net against the Waves, taking over for Weronika Baranowska, who had started the Tigers' last four contests.
  • Perhaps the Tigers' best glance at net in the match came just after the 60th minute when Jenae Packard and Katelyn Chandler put back to back shots at Pepperdine's keeper.
  • Alexis Vilarino saw the pitch for 18 minutes, her most action since logging 35 minutes against Portland State on September 22.
  • In all, 19 Tigers saw on the pitch Saturday against the Waves.

Statistically Speaking
  • The 11 saves are the most for the Palmdale, California native since recording seven against Portland State on September 22.
  • Packard has now recorded a shot in five of the Tigers' six WCC contests this season.

Next Up
  • Pacific will look to get back on track Friday, November 1 when the Tigers host Portland for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff from Knoles Field for the team's second to last home game of the season. The match will be broadcast live on The WCC Network.
