SPOKANE, Wash. – The Pacific women's volleyball team battled back from being down 2-0 to force a fifth set with Loyola Marymount, before falling to the Lions, 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
The Tigers fall to 11-9 overall, 3-5 against their Conference foes, while LMU improves to 12-8, 6-2 in West Coast Conference play.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
- The Lions took the first two sets (25-17, 25-23), but Pacific answered back with a set three win and claimed a come-from-behind 27-25 win in the fourth en route to the program's seventh five-set match of the season.
- Late in the fourth set, Pacific found themselves down 23-19, but the Tigers out-scored the Lions 6-2 to finish out the set, including consecutive blocks by Sedona Sherman at points 26 and 27.
- As a team, Pacific out-hit LMU, hitting .215, while the Lions hit a collective .199. The Tigers also led in points (77-73) and digs (71-61).
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Sedona Sherman was outstanding on defense, totaling a career-high seven blocks (5 assisted blocks, 2 solo blocks)
- Allison Dennemann's made her largest impact later in the match, averaging nearly four kills per set in the final three sets of play. Dennemann finished with a team-high 16 kills en route to a .273 hitting percentage. In addition, the New Palestine, Ind. native collected a team-best 15 digs.
- Riley Patterson totaled 15 kills, while Lucy Carpenter had just her second double-figure scoring performance of the season with 10 kills against the Lions.
- Kennedy Kaminsky compiled a game-high .400 hitting percentage after totaling nine kills with just one error in 20 swings.

Pacific returns to the Alex G. Spanos Center for another weekend of home contests. The Tigers will open play against San Francisco on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m. and will conclude their home stretch against Santa Clara on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 12:00 p.m.
